The purpose of this Request for Proposal-(RFP) is to solicit proposals to provide the South Carolina Department of Probation, Parole, and Pardon Services (SCDPPPS) with maintenance and technical services for each of the software applications described below, along with all databases and integration points, as well as the potential for adding new application to the suite. The Vendor will be required to work directly with SCDPPPS, to provide maintenance services, consisting of the following elements as identified by SCDPPPS, and under guidance of SCDPPPS IT staff:

At a minimum, SCDPPPS requires the Contractor to provide the following services:

  • To address software defects
  • To address design shortcomings
  • To perform database revisions, upgrades and modifications
  • To provide software adjustments, changes and additions in the business environment that may be required by state law

In addition, there are smaller semiautonomous systems that function in support of the above applications that have various data interfaces (web services, automated FTP, etc.), to include, reporting services and systems, framework subsystems, database batch jobs, etc. These applications support the mission of SCDPPPS employees and agents. Information is collected and presented to provide data to other state agencies, as well as the citizens of South Carolina. These systems are highly integrated in terms of hardware infrastructure (server, network, and client), business process, software framework, and information sharing. As a result, it is essential to the continuing functionality of these systems that they are supported as a set.
